30th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Convocation
On Monday, April 4, the keynote speaker for the 30th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Convocation at 5:30 p.m. in the Dion Center Roy Room will be Dr. Emily Bernard, a writer and English professor at the University of Vermont, who will speak on “Freedom and the Black Artist: An Ongoing Dilemma.”
Dr. Bernard is the award-winning author of several books including Black is the Body: Stories from My Grandmother’s Time, My Mother’s Time, and Mine, which was named a Best Book of the Year by NPR.
